Heroes is a casual Sports Bar & Grill with two locations in Mobile, AL. Their original location is downtown on Dauphin St. After being in business for 13 years, they opened their second location in West Mobile on Hillcrest Rd. It’s become a local favorite for hangouts and grub, and they have a great variety of common favorites and specialties.

This isn’t an uptight restaurant, and they don’t serve fancy schmancy food either. Both locations are on the rugged side with hard floors, wood tables and seating, and HD TVs to watch your favorite game. Downtown you can enjoy the patio surrounding the building. They’re also the proud owners of The Royal Scam, which is another local favorite in downtown in Mobile, AL.

Service

My crew and I have always received great service on our visits to Heroes. We always have a waiter who’s down-to-earth and friendly, and some even play along with our humor and keep us entertained. Waiters there are fast, accurate, and attentive. It’s simply good, no fuss service.

Food at Heroes Sports Bar & Grill

I’ve tried quite a few items from the menu at Heroes. If I had to choose a favorite, it would have to be their award winning Spinach and Crawfish Dip. It’s so creamy, rich and full of flavor, I can feel my hips spreading with every bite. That in combination with their warm pita bread has me spoiled. Regular spinach dip and chips will no longer do.

As an entree, I like to have their Kahuna Tuna, a Yellowfin tuna steak cooked to temp and placed on a toasted kaiser roll with lettuce, tomato, onion, and mayo. I like mine blackened and without the mayo, please. Oh, and this sandwich is perfect with a side of sweet potato fries.

When I’m not in the mood for heavy food, their spinach salad with fresh bell pepper, onions, cranberries, pecans, goat cheese hits the spot. Try this with the blackened YellowfinTuna Steak as an add-on and their raspberry vinaigrette. It’s still filling, but without all the bread or heavy ingredients. Their Caesar salad is also another good option on the lighter side.

Overall Experience at Heroes in Mobile, AL

After reading the descriptions above, I probably don’t have to tell you that I enjoy hanging out at Heroes. It’s a relaxing place to go and have a bite and some fun without a lot of hassle. I appreciate always being treated well when I visit.

If you’ve been to either Heroes location, what did you like most about them?
