Hilton Garden Inn Downtown Mobile
The Hilton Brand is already known in the hotel industry, and they’re still expanding. Hilton Garden Inn is set to open a new location in Downtown Mobile, Alabama. It’s directly across the street from Bienville Square, and their projected to officially open on February 1st. I took a few minutes to take a hard hat tour of their facility as they bring it together to make it great just in time for Mardi Gras.
Dining Area and Restuarant
The first place I viewed was the dining area that holds 65 inside and 35 outside. The hotel will feature the cocktail bar and eatery, Eugene’s Monkey Bar in honor of the late screenwriter and author from Mobile, Eugene Walter. The cocktail bar will include a front porch, tapas style dining, and a full breakfast, lunch, and dinner menu. Sunday Brunch is also on the menu. We all know how much we love Sunday Brunch around here.
Hilton Garden Inn Hotel & Rooms
The boutique hotel occupies 93 rooms, and targets corporate travel. It gives the perfect mix of business and pleasure. The design and decor is arranged to fit the garden theme, including the garden tub in some rooms, wallpaper design, and artwork. My guide shared some interesting fact about the noticeable works of art throughout the hotel. Local photographer, Tad Benson is responsible for taking the photos and transforming them to look like paintings. You’ll find colorful pictures that are hanging on the Hilton Garden Inn Walls and in the rooms.
A Few More Things To Look Forward To
Another fact that’ll make the minimalists and recycling advocates proud; bricks used to build the hotel were reclaimed and repurposed from a building being torn down out of Zanesville, OH. I look forward to returning to see the finished product and try out Eugene’s Monkey Bar!
